Sri Lankan Earth Science Olympiad Competition – 2017
The ninth Sri Lankan Earth Science Olympiad Competition (SLESOC) will be jointly organized by the
Geological Society of Sri Lanka (GSSL) in collaboration with the Department of Geology, University of
Peradeniya. Sri Lankan school students under 19 years by 1st July 2017 and those who have passed the
G.C.E. (O/L) examination or sat for the G.C.E. (O/L) in 2016 are eligible to apply for the above competition.
The competition will be organized during March, 2017.
The best four students will be selected to participate at the 11th International Earth Science Olympiad
Competition in Cote d’Azur, France, during August 2017 (subject to availability of funds).
