GSSL awards the “Dr. Tissa Munasinghe Scholarship” annually to an undergraduate student who is following the 400 Series Course in Geology. The student will be selected by the University of Peradeniya based on his/her performances at the 100-300 Series Level and on the economic background. This scholarship is sponsored by Dr. Tissa Munasinghe, a well known Sri Lankan Geologist, now holding an appointment as a Professor at the Los Angeles Harbor College, Wilmington, USA.
The Society extends its gratitude to Dr. Tissa Munasinghe and his family for the establishment of this Scholarship Fund.
