The 9th Sri Lankan Earth Science Olympiad Competition (SLESOC) will be jointly organized by the Geological Society of Sri Lanka (GSSL) in collaboration with the Department of Geology, University of Peradeniya. Sri Lankan school students under 19 years by 1 st July 2018 and those who have passed the G.C.E. (O/L) examination or sat for the G.C.E. (O/L) in 2017 are eligible to apply for the above competition. The competition will be organized during March, 2018. The best four students will be selected to participate at the 12 th International Earth Science Olympiad Competition in Thailand, during August 2018 (subject to availability of funds).
